Scripture: Deut 10:18 He stands up for widows and for children whose fathers have died. He loves outsiders. He gives them food and clothes. 19 So you also must love outsiders. Remember that you yourselves were outsiders in Egypt.
Observe: Moses was saying that God loves people and takes care of them, insider or outsider. When the Israelites were living in Egypt they were outsiders.
Apply: I need to remember where I've come from, before I met Jesus or where I would be without Him.
Prayer: Jesus, I am thankful that I am an "insider" but help me to not forget that I was an outsider. May you use my life today to help people without Christ to find Him.

Scripture: "He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge." - Proverbs 14:26
Observation: Fearing God provides walls of protection that do not allow the enemy and/or outsiders access to what is safely tucked inside.
Application: My relationship with God has the potential to be a safe and secure fortress for D, E and G. They will see it as a refuge and find safety and protection within its walls. My life, my heart, my children are secure. What better environment is there for them to grow and learn in?
Prayer: Lord, continue to grow my fear and reverence of you. continue to strengthen the fortress that you have built around me. Reveal to me any sin that can/will cause a weakness in the wall or where the enemy might think h has a foothold to start scaling. Help D, E and G to flourish in the safety of the fortress you have built in me. -Tracie
