  1. Title: "Plant Generously"
    Mentor: Paul

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:6,8,9 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say, "They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever."

Observe: We must sow generously and lavishly in order to get a generous crop. If what we do is go around and be careful about where each seed is sown and plant here and there, then we get a small crop. If you live this way (generously), God will provide for you and your good deeds will be remembered for eternity.

Apply: This hits a couple of fears for me. My focus should be on God remembering my good deeds forever when I give and two, that God will generously provide all that I will need if I am generous in giving.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to focus on your provision when I give. May I broadcast freely for a generous crop that will last for eternity.

  2. Title: Give Happily
    Mentor: Paul

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:7 "He should not be sad when he gives. And he should not give because he feels forced to give. God loves the person who gives happily.

Observe: God delights in those who give happily.

Apply: I should give happily to other people including Graham and Ellie.

Prayer: Dear God, help me to give happily to Graham and Ellie.
