S: Psalm 20:7 Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.
Matthew 22:29 Jesus replied, "Your mistake is that you don't know the Scriptures, and you don't know the power of God.
O: David was a victorious warrior and yet he didn't boast about his chariots or horses, only in the one he knew brought him success. He knew the power of God that Jesus was talking about in Matthew 22:29, he knew the Word of God.
A: Who do I place my confidence in? Is it in my skill? My training? My finances? My job? My position at church? I need to have confidence in my God. I need to know the power of God through the Scriptures.
P: Jesus, thank you for the reminder today of what I place my confidence in, of what I boast in. Help me today to boast in you and that I might know the power of God through knowledge of the Scriptures.
