  1. Title: Love, Knowledge and Understanding
    Mentor: Paul

S: Phillipians 1:9,10 "I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ's return."

O: Paul says I want you to understand what really matters. In order to do this you need to be growing in knowledge and understanding and applying, so that you love others not just get smarter. If you know what really matters, then you live pure and blameless lives.

A: My love of others is reflective of my knowledge and understanding of Jesus. This will help me to live a more pure and blameless life.

P: Jesus, help me to know you experientially, so that I might love others and walk in a pure and blameless way. This is done for your glory and so that others may see you in me.

  2. S. Ephesians 6:10-13 : 10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

    O. Our God is our armor. He can protect us from all evil. Evil is everywhere. The armor needed is not only for physical harm that can be done to us, but for the devil that consistantly attempts to hurt us.

    A. I need to put on the armor of God by consistantly praying, reading my bible and surrounding myself with other Christians.

    P. Lord, I thank you for being my armor against the bad things of this world and the bad things that are not of this world. I know that if I follow you and listen to your word you will not let evil prevail in my life. I pray that I continue to put on more and more armor as I become closer to you. You are my strength and protection and I love being under your shield. In your glorious name, Amen.
