  1. S: 2 Timothy 4:7,8 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return."

O: Paul was speaking of life as a battle and a race. The important part is finishing the race and getting the award that matters. Being faithful to the end is what matters.

A: Being in Orlando with Dawson sparring in a national competition is interesting comparison. He is training to fight, he is sparring to get a medal. Good comparisons here. The only way to finish well is to train well.

P: Jesus, help me to train well to battle well and to finish well.
