  1. S: Jeremiah 20:11 "But the Lord stands beside me like a great warrior. Before him my persecutors will stumble. They cannot defeat me. They will fail and be thoroughly humiliated. Their dishonor will never be forgotten."

O: Jeremiah was prophesying about God's chosen people and being persecuted because of it. He saw a picture of God being his mighty warrior standing beside him fighting his battles for him.

AP/: Jesus, you are doing battle on my behalf in spiritual warfare. This is the heart of Christianity in that you do the fighting for us IF WE ASK. I have been tired lately, probably in part because I'm doing the battle on my own strength. I ask you Jesus to be my mighty warrior, by my strength, my shield, my helmet, my sword, my breastplate and my belt and my shoes. Armor me up as we go into battle.
