S: Hebrews 12:28 New Living Translation (NLT) Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.
O: The Israelites have a time when God spoke from Mount Sinai and the earth shook. God makes another promise that he will not only shake the earth in the future but the heavens also. Then in the next verse it says with God shaking the earth and heavens, all of creation will be removed and only the unshakable will be left. That is God's kingdom. We are receiving this, through Christ.
A: Everything is so fragile in life, it breaks with even the slightest change or movement. Things decay and break down. God's kingdom doesn't change, it will not be shaken and we have received this through faith in Jesus. I should be in Holy fear and awe as I ponder this reality.
P: Praise be to you God for choosing me to be a part of this eternal unshakable kingdom. Praise be to you Jesus for laying down your life for me and enduring nails, suffering, humiliation, and death for me so that I could receive this unshakable kingdom. May I ponder this wonderful truth today.
