S: Matthew 20:26 But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant,27 and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave.28 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many."
O: Jesus was responding the mother of James and John initially about her wanting her sons to sit next to Jesus in heaven. Then Jesus goes on to talk about servant leadership and how he didn't even come to be served but to serve.
A: What areas of my life am I now being served and need to serve in? At work especially I know there are areas specifically that I can be serving in that I am currently being served. At home, how am I serving Tracie and the children?
P: Lord help me in these areas to be a servant leader. You have given me these areas of leadership, I need to learn how to more effectively serve and not be served. Thank you Jesus for coming to serve us through saving us. IJN, Amen.
