  1. S: Acts 25:19. "Instead, it was something about their religion and a dead man named Jesus, who Paul insists is alive. "

O: Festus was talking to Agrippa about Paul's case. He summarized Paul 's teaching, that Jesus is alive.

A: I need to be presenting Jesus to people so that they understand my faith is based on a relationship with a living person Jesus who was raised from the dead.

P: Jesus, I praise you today for being alive and conquering death. Give me boldness today and opportunity to tell others about you.

  2. "S: John 13:34 (AMP)
34 I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. 1 Corinthians 13:2 (AMP)
2 And if I have prophetic powers (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God's love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody). 1 Corinthians 13:13 (AMP)
13 And so faith, hope, love abide [faith—conviction and belief respecting man's relation to God and divine things; hope—joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love—true affection for God and man, growing out of God's love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love. "

O: 1) We are commanded to love each other. 2) The standard is to love like Christ loves the father, and loves us (Agape). 3) If I don't have love, my work is useless 4) Our love grows out of his love for us that is growing in us.

A: Do I love like this? No, I come way short. Yet it is a commandment. In other words, it isn't going to be an automatic response to becoming a Christian to love like that. I need to obey this command, which means put forth effort in conjunction with responding to the love that God has poured into my heart. I want to continue monitoring my love level this week and pray that my love would grow for the believers and non-believers

P: Lord, show me how to love people that I don't naturally love. Not just how to behave or manage my sin, but change my heart so that I actually do love people. When there are people that I don't naturally love, show me that this is a sin, and help me to run to you, asking for your love to fill me so that it can overflow to others. Lord, you know that I get my feelings hurt when people are very direct with me. Help me to not hold their comments against them (keep record of offences), but to lay them at the foot of the cross. Help me to keep short accounts with you today, and when I have that sick feeling in my spirit that shows my heart isn't loving toward someone, help me to run to you for forgiveness and healing. Change me Lord into a vessel that loves. As I gaze into your face Lord, and behold your glory, change me to be more like you in loving others, as well as loving you more. Amen
