S: Psalm 114:3. " The Red Sea saw them coming and hurried out of their way! The water of the Jordan River turned away."
O: in this Psalm creation is described as being submissive to God and his people. There is no match against God even when it comes to nature and the laws that follow nature.
A: when I see an obstacle in the way I must not look at it as insurmountable but an opportunity for God to display his power and strength.
P: Jesus I clearly have my vision fixed on the wrong object. I look at circumstances and fear them instead of you. May I worship you the creator and not that which was created.
"S: Mark 12:29-31 (AMP) 29 Jesus answered, The first and principal one of all commands is: Hear, O Israel, The Lord our God is one Lord; 30 And you shall love the Lord your God out of and with your whole heart and out of and with all your soul (your life) and out of and with all your mind (with your faculty of thought and your moral understanding) and out of and with all your strength. This is the first and principal commandment. 31 The second is like it and is this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. Luke 6:27-28 (AMP) 27 But I say to you who are listening now to Me: [in order to heed, make it a practice to] love your enemies, treat well (do good to, act nobly toward) those who detest you and pursue you with hatred, 28 Invoke blessings upon and pray for the happiness of those who curse you, implore God's blessing (favor) upon those who abuse you [who revile, reproach, disparage, and high-handedly misuse you]. "
O: 1) The greatest commandment is to agape love God with 100% of yourself. 2) Second greatest is to agape love neighbors (anyone in close proximity to us . 3) We are to even love our enemies 4) We can love them by: doing good to them, Praying for them, , implore God's blessing on them
A: I'm feeling uncomfortable about a certain relationship. Out of nowhere has come this feeling of competitiveness and pride. I don't like to be taught things that I already know. It feels demeaning. Yet my new team doesn't know what I'm skilled at and what I'm not skilled at. I'm also highly critical in my heart of the Bible study discussion. Where is this coming from? What is going on in my heart? I will pray about this today and also pray for the leader and the discussion.
P: Lord, Please forgive me for the critical spirit that is in my heart right now. I know that pride and competitive spirit have been exposed in my heart. Lord, I confess them both before you. I ask you to come in and cleanse me heart and show me ways of escape. I ask for the leader wisdom from you on how to lead this study. Jesus I'm totally dependent on you to change my heart. Thank you for lovingly showing me what is in my heart. In Jesus Name, Amen
