  1. Title: Permeating
    Mentor: Jesus

S: Matthew 13:33 Jesus also used this illustration: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough."

O: Throughout this chapter Jesus is comparing to what the Kingdom of Heaven is like. This is one I haven't paid much attention to. Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven was like a woman who puts yeast in for making bread. While she just puts in a small part, it spreads and goes into every part. Normally yeast has a negative connotation in Scripture, not this time.

A: My question or application for today is, "am I permeating Jesus to all areas of my work?" Am I permeating Christ to every area of my life? Jesus should spread throughout into every area and into my workplace. I should look different to people.

P: Jesus, while most of this chapter seemed to look at others and Jesus' judgment of non believers, this verse is convicting me. I need to yield my work place to you and have you Jesus have full influence on those around me. Do I know peoples names at the front desk? Do I care about peoples lives at work? Am I merely looking at the patient to care for? Thank you for your word today. IJN, Amen
