S: Romans 6:11-12 "So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires."
O: Paul was speaking of considering, what does this mean? I need to mentally think of my position as I am in Christ. I can be unresposive to sin because of what Jesus did on the cross. I was buried with Christ in baptism and sin is no longer controlling me, no longer a slave....by God's grace.
A: I need to consider more often, mentally think through my position in Christ. My mind is very powerful weapon to combat Satan's strategy regarding accusation and temptation.
P: Jesus, would you help us today to be dead to the power of sin in our lives. Make us alive to you and responsive to your voice. Give us ears to hear your voice and make us deaf to Satan's accusations and temptations.
